She made the music come to life.

Is it really Friday already? I am barely recovered from last weekend, and already it's another one? I literally have so many things I've been meaning to do, and get done, and blog about this week but I have been such a waste of space. I've felt like crap all week. I haven't been able to eat anything without getting decently ill. Which you think would stop me from eating, but no, so really I've just been quite ill all week. And exhausted! Between Thursday and Sunday last week I drove about 635 miles to, from, and within Massachusetts. Mostly because I love clarkdreams and Cirque du Soleil.

Thursday I went with Georgene to see Satlimbanco. The show was absolutely wonderful, and I am so glad I called Ticketmaster to be picky about my seats because the seats we wound up with were pretty perfect. It reminded me a lot of KOOZÅ because it was light and fun and HAPPY. The book I'm reading right now, Dreams of the Solo Trapeze is about the solo trapezist from Saltimbanco (an act which they no longer have in the show) so it was really interesting to see so many acts that I've read about come to life. You can tell by the set and costumes that it's an older show (everything is very 70s so that was like the late 80s early 90s for Canada) and there are parts of it that were strange (Georgene was very disturbed by the "pregnant man in blue with the tail" running around) but that's Cirque for you. The mime had me in stitches whenever he was on stage. I couldn't stop laughing. My favorite act, hands down, was the duo trapeze. They were fantastic. I also loved Adagio. Georgene was impressed with the hand balancing but having seen like 3 other Cirque shows that have hand balancing in them in the past month, I wasn't as excited about it as she was. (I mean it's impressive but it gets old...) I wasn't as impressed with the bungee trapeze as I thought I'd be, but they were also wonderful. Go see the show if it comes by your way. It's one of my favorites.

Saturday I drove up to the middle of nowhere Massachusetts with athena2483 to help clarkdreams with the ever fun task of moving. I swear she planned the big move for her birthday weekend so we couldn't refuse... ;) We pretty much lucked out with the rain all day, but moving is moving and it sucks. But holy crap her house is adorable! I am sketched out by the fact that it's in the middle of the woods and I don't have any kind of cell phone service for like a 20 minute radius of her house, but it's so cute! And it's practically all set up now. I think it's like the perfect house for her and a great place for she and Jesse to start their lives together in. I am just never going to visit her at night ever again. :)

Driving home was miserable and took forever because it was pouring rain. I got up at the ass crack of dawn to bring athena2483 to the train station and then drove to Boston for secretness, then to Marlborough to pick up clarkdreams for her birthday present... KOOZÅ! We had Tapis Rouge tickets and HOLY SHIT I DON'T KNOW HOW I'M GOING TO GO BACK TO REGULAR CIRQUE TICKETS. The tent is SO POSH. And all the tasty food and delicious drinks you can manage. Rolling VIP style is so awesome. Also, I'm convinced, it's the only way to get really great seats. I am pouncing on that shit when it comes to NYC because I'm determined to get front row. DETERMINED. We were second row center and it was incredible, but not good enough. I want to get fake slapped with a fake slab of meat by Gordon. I'll do a decent review of KOOZÅ one of these days, maybe after I see it for the 4th time tomorrow. (Shut up.) Cheap seats this time, so maybe my purse won't get drowned in confetti this time. No really, there's like half an inch in there I haven't dug out yet (that just added to all the confetti I hadn't dug out from April, heh). Anyways, Tapis Rouge. Worth it. Tell your friends.

Oh, also, I permed my hair. I think I hate it. But other people keep telling me they like it. Some of them are cute boys. That makes me feel marginally better about it, but still. I don't know. Also, I have nothing to wear and am going to make myself sick obsessing about my appearance for the next like 42 hours. *gordon ramsay thumbs up*

Seeing Burn After Reading tonight with John. In Boston all weekend for DSP, Cirque, and secrets. Going to go try and duck out of work early (because it has been such a bad week I literally was swear to god about half an inch from giving my 2 weeks yesterday I was so angry but that's another story) because I need to find something to wear. (You would laugh/roll your eyes at this if you saw my closet but I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR). Later, skaterz.

Ah, I want to see Saltimbanco! It's not coming anywhere near me though. D:

How was it, considering it was an arena tour? I of course assume it was great, 'cause hey, Cirque, but do you think it would have been better under the big top?

I really didn't see any kind of difference between how it would've been under the Grand Chapiteau. They still had tons of audience interaction, not like Delirium which is the only arena show I've seen. I thought they did a fantastic job adapting it because I was worried it might only be "eh" because it was arena. Hopefully it will come by you eventually...

"O" is fantastic! I loved it... the second time I saw it. The first time I fell asleep. :) There's really nothing like it, and nothing more beautiful. It's definitely an extremely close second to KOOZA for me.
