2008 is still serious business.

So we're 100 days into 2008 and I sense a big wave of changing coming.  After all, spring is finally here, which means time for rebirth and new life and fresh starts.  I thought now might be a good time to check in on my resolutions for the year:

  1. Take better care of myself.
    • I've lost about 7lbs.
    • I went vegan for Lent and am going to be more conscious about the egg and dairy I eat.
    • Haven't had any soda or artificial sweetners this year.
    • Been drinking way more water and tea and way less coffee.
    • Been taking a multivitamin daily.
  2. Keep working toward my goal of nursing school.
    • I've got an A so far in my microbiology class.
    • I got certified in child/infant CPR.
    • I'm back to volunteering at the hospital.
  3. Be a better RVP.
    • I've visited 5 of my chapters and have plans to visit the other two before the semester is out.
    • UMA has submitted their petition and we should hear back tomorrow!
    • I've definitely been communicating more regularly with my chapters.
  4. Be better to the environment.
    • I've barely been using any plastic grocery bags.
    • I'm definitely recycling more than I used to.
    • I'm conserving electricity... or at least I think I am.
  5. Be a better person.
    • Yeah... I think I suck.
  6. Get finances back under control.
    • I paid off my credit card debt from Christmas...
  7. Read even more than last year.
    • I've already read nine and have started two more.
  8. Accomplish everything on the list I posted at thefirst100days.
    • I completed 70 of the things on my list.
    • I started a new list at thenext150days.  (GUUYYYSS, come play with me!  It's lonely over there!)
So I think I'm not doing terribly so far.  Definitely need to work on 5 and 6, though 6 is going to be tough for a while.  I'm just going to have to be really disciplined sticking to a budget.  2008 is still serious business, damnit!  Must not forget that!  There is still 266 days left and I'm going to make the most of them.  Starting tomorrow.  Later, skaterz.

PS - No, seriously, come join thenext150days and be (or pretend to be) productive with me.

In the process. But seriously this is hard! I'm up to like 33 and am like... um... I'd like to wear clothes in public 10 times... uhhh... and eat lunch every day? Yeah, good goals!

Some of mine are pretty lame... it happens. Could always try for 100 in 150.

I am like really awesome at making lists apparently... like I had to cut some back, and I keep thinking of more I could add. I just have too much to do I think.

When I was struggling with my list for thefirst100days, daydreamer suggested to think of things that you'd have to do anyway (though maybe less mundane than wearing clothes...) and that helped.
