I just downloaded Firefox for my office computer and it is one of the best things I've ever done. Internet Explorer is such an evil piece of garbage, I don't know how I've been able to stand it for this long. *pets tabbed browsing and ability to reopen accidentally closed windows* My Precious...

I'm glad the sun came up. It was goddamn depressing out this morning. I could barely convince myself that it was actually daylight and time to get out of bed when my alarm went off. I'm totally ready for warmer weather and longer days, man.

I finished reading Pride & Prejudice and it was pretty good! I'm still making my way through World War Z, I'm still only a third through. I started Alice's Adventures In Wonderland today which should be an extremely fast read. I intend to eventually start reading Frank Beddor's Looking Glass Wars trilogy, so I figured I'd brush up on my old school Alice first.

Word on the street is that most of Edwards' supporters are going to swing Obama's way which can't be a bad thing. Edwards hasn't said which candidate he's going support, if any, but from what I read it definitely won't be Hillary. Getting excited for Super Tuesday! Don't forget to get out and vote, kids!

My car is apparently ready to be picked up. It was some sort of sensor that had gone bad under the transmission or something. I don't understand cars and I'm really starting to hate them. I just really hope this is the last time mine sees the inside of a shop for a while. Maybe I should be praying more frequently to St. Christopher who is apparently the patron saint of automobiles.

So yeah, today wasn't all that bad, at least not for a Wednesday. (It is finally Wednesday, right??) I should attempt some semblance of productivity before I leave for the day. Later, skaterz.

It gets better and better the more I go on, I'm just always so tired by the time I go to read it I can barely get through a few pages before I pass out.

I started Alice's Adventures In Wonderland today

The Alice books are among my favorite ever. I actually took my time reading them because I didn't want it to be over. I think Harry Potter was the only other books that I read that way for that reason.

I am thoroughly entertained thus far, despite already knowing the story. :)

hahahaha I know exactly why you know about St. Christopher. :) "A donkey or a mule? I always get them confused."

Oh ahaha, I didn't even think of that. I just happened to look it up when I was typing up the journal entry actually.

Though, on further investigation I am finding that St. Christopher might not even be a saint? http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=36

I am shocked and appalled. I didn't know this. Also, I found some sites that don't list him as the patron saint of travelers, either. Some Fiacre dude. WTF, Catholicism? WTF.

OMG, you just got Firefox TODAY? I use Firefox and IE simultaneously at work but that's because our main database has a couple extra, shall we say, quirks if it's used in Firefox. But if I could, man, I would only use Firefox.

I used to not be able to install programs that I downloaded at work, like I couldn't even update Flash. But I was able to d/l a google talk program a month ago so I finally decided to give it a shot. Otherwise I would've been using it for years. I HATE IE.

Did you ever try a firfox extension called "IE TAB"?
It embeds IE into a firefox tab with the click of a button so you can still "run" IE for your database but still have only Firefox open.

Oh and if you see this LB, GMI doesn't play nice with firefox, you might still want to try IE (or IE TAB) for that site.

peace yo

Funny quote

In a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence ...
in time every post tends to be occupied by an employee who is incompetent
to carry out its duties ... Work is accomplished by those employees who
have not yet reached their level of incompetence.
-- Dr. Laurence J. Peter, "The Peter Principle"
