2008 is serious business.

My resolutions, let me show you them.  They're hardcore and epic, like I told you they would be.

Because 2008 is serious business, kids.

Let me show you them, my resolutions.

  1. Take better care of myself.
    • Lose some weight and tone.
    • Eat less eggs and dairy.
    • Eat more organic and natural foods and fewer foods with preservatives and things I can't pronounce.
    • Drink more water.
    • Drink less coffee and more tea.
    • Go to yoga regularly.
    • Take a multivitamin every day.
    • Get more sleep.
    • Watch my stress levels.
  2. Keep working toward my goal of nursing school.
    • Get an A in Microbiology.
    • Get an A in Life Span Development.
    • Get a Columbia-worthy score on the GREs.
    • Apply to nursing schools.
    • Get certified in child/infant CPR.
    • Get back to volunteering at the hospital.
  3. Be a better RVP.
    • Visit all my chapters, at least twice, this calendar year.
    • Get Upsilon Mu Alpha installed.
    • Plan some sort of regional event.
    • Communicate more frequently with my chapters.
  4. Be better to the environment.
    • Stop using plastic grocery bags.
    • Recycle more.
    • Conserve more electricity and water.
  5. Be a better person.
    • Visit my friends more often.
    • Make more of an effort to contact them, instead of them me.
    • Read friends' journal entries thoroughly... no more flist skimming.
    • Be more patient and understanding and less judgemental.
    • Forgive my mother.
    • Write thank you notes.
    • Donate blood more than once a year.
  6. Get finances back under control.
    • Pay off credit card debt and pay off monthly balances in full.
    • Pay off my high-interst evil loan from hell.
    • Start a Roth IRA or some sort of retirement thing.
    • Save more, spend less.
  7. Read even more than last year.
    • 20 books.
  8. Accomplish everything on the list I posted at thefirst100days.

Yeah, that's right.  We're not fucking around this year.  I am going places this year (hopefully literally and not just figuratively) and for once I am not going to let my ridiculous need for procrastination get in my way.  No more procrastinating, damnit.  Fuck procrastination.  Speaking of procrastination... it's a miracle they haven't fired me here yet, so I should probably do some work, if I remember how.  (I don't think I've actually done any since November...eep.)  Later, skaterz.

*low whistle* Shit. You weren't kidding. But honestly? I think it helps to be specific in your resolutions. Making general resolutions like "Take care of myself" leaves room for half-assery. And I don't wanna half-ass it so I think I'm taking a page from your book when I write my resolutions.

Also, that community idea is pretty much genius! Is it open for other people to join or is it closed to just your friends? Cause if that's the case, mayhap I'll just post it to my lj. But it seems to me that a community would be nice cause everyone can encourage one another as you track your progress :)

Yeah, specifics are definitely key. Because how do you even evalute at the end of your goal if you achieved anything or not, ya know?

daydreamer said she would send you an invite to the community. :) Come play!

It requires an invitation? :/ U sure I'm not intruding? I don't wanna butt my way into a community of friends and be the awkward one hehe
