Proud that you are mine, Dad.

First, I want extend a welcome and some butterbeers to my Gryffindor housemates that are new to my flist, jennashaped, justanerdyangel, and bellipotens! New friends FTW! \o/

So, I hope everyone had a great father's day this weekend. My dad was having one of his better days so I took him to some car shows in the area. We went to one at MCC and then went to an all Ferrari show in Hartford. My dad said he had a great fathers day, so I'm glad. He had me snapping pictures left and right. We took three rolls of film and I snapped just a few shots with my digital camera.

My dad checking out his favorite car, a Cobra.

The love of my life... a '73 Corvette Stingray.
If ever there was an inanimate object that could turn me on, this is it.

Though I gotta admit, I get a little weak in the knees for fins, too.

For those of you wondering what my dad looks like these days, here's a close-up of The Incredible Shrinking Man. He without a doubt weighs less than I do now, which is scary in itself, but I'm pretty sure there are starving children in Ethiopia that weigh more than him, too. For a father's day present I made him a cake. I figure the thing he needed the most was food. I usually make things low-fat or at least try to lighten them, but I made sure to make the fat-plenty variety. It was like some sort of Texas sheet cake made with chocolate and buttermilk. (Though you really can't find fat-plenty buttermilk at the store anymore which is annoying and normally wouldn't bother me, but damnit, I wanted the fatty kind.) I even made homemade frosting. I didn't get to try any, but apparently my dad really liked it, and so did everyone else he offered a piece. Dude just really needs to gain some weight. He could probably eat 3000 calories a day and barely gain anything but I doubt he's eating anything close to that. After all of this cancer-battling it'd really be a shame to starve to death. :-/

I have my first chem exam today. I'm not at all worried. I haven't even actually studied. I'll just make sure to review a few things during my lunch break and I think I'll be fine. At least this should make class go by more quickly that usual. The next two weeks are going to be filled with exhaustion for serious. Later, skaterz.

The pictures of KITT are on my dad's role. I should've just taken pictures with my digital though because I'm pretty sure he didn't care. lol
