referent power: its base is identification with a person who has desirable resources or personal traits; if B admires or identifies with A, A can exercise power over B because B wants to please A; develops out of admiration of antoher person and a desire to be like him or her.

dependency
general postulate: the greater B's dependency on A, the greater power A has over B.
when you possess anything that others require but that you alone control, you make them dependent on you and, therefore, you gain power over them



MGMT201 is fun.

And by "fun" I mean "makes me want to gauge my eyes out with plastic sporks".
